About Eve MacDonald

I am a Canadian-British ancient historian and archaeologist. I was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and grew up in Edmonton, Alberta.  I have lived in the UK for the last few decades and think of London as my home – but am always very much a Canadian at heart too. I teach and research cultures both inside and outside of the traditional Greco-Roman worlds and have taught courses in Carthaginian, Roman and Persian material culture and history. 

 

I have taught ancient history, classics and archaeology at the University of Reading, University of Edinburgh and currently teach at Cardiff University.  I love engaging with students and especially those who are thinking about studying the ancient world.
